Wema Bank Reaffirms Commitment to Customer Service at HNI Event

Wema Bank recently hosted HighNet-worth Individuals (HNIs) in Northern Nigeria and reaffirmed servicesatisfaction to this customer class. At the meeting held at Transcorp Hilton,Abuja, the bank appreciated its high net worth customers for their loyalty. Itreiterated its commitment to customer satisfaction.

 

The event, one of the bank'sactivities to mark its 2021 International Customer Service Week, themed 'ThePower of Service', also allowed the bank to showcase its latest beneficialproducts and services.

 

Welcoming guests, the Managing Director,Ademola Adebise, recalled the bank's humble beginnings and how it has become atruly Nigerian brand with operations across the entire country and the leadingplayer in the digital banking space with ALAT for individuals and corporates,as well as several offerings to support SMEs.

The Executive Director, North and EastDirectorate, Wema Bank, Chukwuemeka Obiagwu, appreciated the customers fortheir patronage, noting that they are the reason Nigeria's leading indigenousfinancial institution remains in business.

 

Obiagwu reiterated that excellenceremains the gold standard of all Wema Bank's operations and that it would neverrender mediocre service.

 

"We are aware you have limitlessoptions in the modern marketplace but have chosen to remain with us. We areindeed grateful, and this is one of the reasons we have adopted a personalised,customer-centric approach to serving you. We want to strengthen ourrelationship and know how you would want us to serve you better," he said.

 

Also commenting on the forum'sessence, the Chief Finance and Strategy Officer, Tunde Mabawonku, said it wasto appreciate the bank's high net-worth customers and get feedback.

 

He said: "We wanted to appreciateour customers in Northern Nigeria for their loyalty despite the challenges. Wealso want to affirm our commitment to excellent service and assure ourcustomers spread across Northern Nigeria that they are guaranteed to win withus. Our recently released H1 2021 results showed growth in key financialmetrics; we recorded growth in customers and customer activity. We want to dobetter, hence this forum to appreciate you and share with you the plans we havefor the rest of 2021 and the years that follow."

 

Customers at the forum expressedhappiness with the bank for the session, noting that it was a promising avenuefor further improving its services.

 

One of them and Director of VPD Money,Mohammed Ibrahim Jega, said, "Wema Bank has made a very strategic move bybringing stakeholders together to get feedback. Whatever service you provide toyour customers, you need to get positive or negative feedback. It would helpyou to plan and organize to give better services.  We consider this one ofthe major areas of getting the right information from stakeholders, which iscommendable.  It would help to improve your efficiency and services."

 

Another customer, Architect (Mrs)Helen Uchechukwu, expressed happiness at being a member of the Wema Alat Familyand lauded the forum. "Wema is a great bank. We are happy with the bankbecause of their support in realizing our goals. Calling us together to hearfrom us is a great initiative. The Managing Director and top management staffhave been on the ground to get feedback from us. The initiative is laudable,and we thank the bank."
