Launched at the Inaugural Presidential Dinner in December 2021, The NBCC Programming Academy and Incubator came as a brainchild and initiative of Bisi Adeyemi, 17th President and Chairman of Council, NBCC.

The academy will equip young minds with skills in tech and assist tech-based start-ups in building a successful career in the sector, training them in the areas of Data Analytics, Product Management, and UI/UX Design.

In expressing her excitement as she welcomed participants to the official opening of the academy, the NBCC President described the day as one ordained by God. Acknowledging the source of her inspiration, she stated that "the inspiration for this came from my daughter. One day she called and said she wanted to learn to code. She attended a Software Development boot camp for three months. Within a month, she landed a job as a programmer and has not looked back since, adding several certifications".

She further encouraged participants and ambassadors of the academy to give their best as she looked forward to their graduation. Mrs. Delia Asuzu, Head, Marketing & Communications, PwC, while delivering a goodwill message on behalf of PwC, the lead sponsors of the academy, highlighted that the organization is passionate about this project and as everyone who is part of it looks forward to the impact it would create in the society at large.

Congratulating Participants, whom he described as 'fortunate,' Mr. Adewale Adeyipo – CEO, CWG, charged them to utilize this great opportunity into a career gradually taking over the world. The academy will run for three months, sponsored by PwC and in partnership with CWG Plc, Dataflex Limited, HerVest, Department for International Trade (DIT), and Heckerbella Limited.
