The NGX All-Share Index declined by 0.33% to close at 54,232.34 basis points as against 1.51% gain recorded previously to close at 54,413.21 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N98.53bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +5.82%
The total volume traded declined by 42.70% to close at N557.93m, valued at N3.68bn and traded in 3943 deals. TRANSCORP was the most traded stock by volume with 287.68m units traded while NGXGROUP was the most traded stock by value which is put at N685.07m.
Sectoral performance was broadly positive as nine (9) NGX sector index closed northward, six (6) sector index closed southward and three (3) closed flat. NGX-INSURANCE index advanced by 1.92% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX-Growth Index declined by 0.56% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index advanced by 0.05% to close at 151.11 basis points while the Toni index advanced by 1.09% to close at 121.25 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 20 gainers to 14 losers and 69 unchanged. LASACO topped the list of gainers while CWG topped the list of losers.
Thus, market breadth closed positive as the Market Breadth Index (MBI) is put at 0.09x.
