Nigerian Equities Market closed negative as the key market indicator declined by 117.89bps amid flat market breadth
The NGX All-Share Index declined by 0.25% to close at 47,436.45 basis points as against 2.04% gain recorded previously to close at 47,554.34 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records N64.21bn loss.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +11.05%
The total volume traded advanced by 182.15% to close at 279.28m, valued at N1.56bn and traded in 3,781 deals. REGALINS was the most traded stock by volume with 97.63m units traded while BUACEMENT was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N268.67m
Sectoral performance was broadly negative as five (5) NGX sector index closed northward, eleven (11) closed southward and two (2) closed flat. The NGX Insurance index advanced by 1.49% to top the gainer’s chart while NGX-IND index declined by 1.31% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index advanced by 0.04% to close at 136.91 basis points while the Toni index declined by 0.80% to close at 119.47 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 15 gainers to 15 losers and 77 unchanged. PRESTIGE topped the list of gainers while BETAGLAS topped the list of losers.
