The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.14% to close at 55,605.57 basis points as against a 0.25% gain recorded previously to close at 55,529.21 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N41.60bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +8.50%
The total volume traded declined by 83.54% to close at N123.55m, valued at N2.48bn and traded in 4,076 deals. TRANSCORP was the most traded stock by volume with 11.8m units traded while GEREGU was the most traded stock by value which is put at N604.27m
Sectoral performance was broadly negative as six (6) NGX sector index closed northward, eight (8) sector index closed southward and four (4) closed flat. The NGX PREMIUM index advanced by 0.38% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX AFRBVI Index declined by 0.49% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index advanced by 0.03% to close at 145.90 basis points while the Toni index declined by 0.54% to close at 126.17 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 16 gainers to 20 losers and 71 unchanged. JBERGER topped the list of gainers while CWG topped the list of losers.
Thus, market breadth closed negative as the Market Breadth Index (MBI) is put at -0.06x.
