Nigerian Equities Market closed positive as the key market indicator declined by 63.01 bps amid positive market breadth.
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.12% to close at 52657.69 basis points as against a -0.06% loss recorded previously to close at 52,594.68 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N34.32bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +2.74%
The total volume traded declined by -67.61% to close at N143.73m, valued at N1.68bn and traded in 3,100 deals. FBNH was the most traded stock by volume with 19.65m units traded while MTNN was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N326.85m
Sectoral performance was broadly negative as twelve (12) NGX sector index closed northward, one (1) sector index closed southward and five (5) closed flat. The NGX MERIGRW index advanced by 0.46% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX MERIVAL index declined by 0.05% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index stayed flat at 138.51 basis points while the Toni index declined by 0.04% to close at 121.43 basis points.
