Nigerian Equities Market closed positive as the key market indicator advanced by 470.74 bps amid positive market breadth
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.92% to close at 51693.08 basis points as against a 0.70% gain recorded previously to close at 51222.34 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N256.4bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at 0.86%
The total volume traded advanced by 17.10% to close at 229.22m, valued at N2.91bn and traded in 3900 deals. STERLNBANK was the most traded stock by volume with 85.18m units traded while AIRTELAFRI was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N1.03bn
Sectoral performance was broadly positive as seven (7) NGX sector index closed northward, six (6) closed southward and five (5) closed flat. The NGX MAIN BOARD index advanced by 1.60% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX Banking index declined by 1.31% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index closed flat at 136.66 basis points while the Toni index advanced by 0.99% to close at 120.57 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 17 gainers to 16 losers and 64 unchanged. THOMASWY topped the list of gainers while UBN topped the list of losers.
