Nigerian Equities Market closed positive as the key market indicator advanced by 372.57bps amid negative market breadth
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.81% to close at 46,604.94 basis points as against 2.90% gain recorded previously to close at 46,232.37 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records N202.93bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +9.10%
The total volume traded declined by 26.24% to close at 138.60m, valued at N2.17bn and traded in 3,43 deals. STERLNBANK was the most traded stock by volume with 24.25m units traded while AIRTELAFRI was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N791.28m
Sectoral performance was broadly negative as twelve (3) NGX sector index closed northward, three (12) closed southward and three (3) closed flat. The NGX MAIN BOARD index advanced by 2.05% to top the gainer’s chart while NGXAFRBVI declined by 1.92% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index closed flat at 136.83 basis points and the Toni index declined by 2.50% to close at 109.50 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 14 gainers to 23 losers and 63 unchanged. MANSARD topped the list of gainers while NESTLE topped the list of losers.
Thus, market breadth closed negative as the Market Breadth Index (MBI) is put at -0.14x.
