Nigerian Equities Market closed positive as the key market indicator advanced by 318.98 bps amid positive market breadth
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.62% to close at 52,048.85 basis points as against a 0.55% loss recorded previously to close at 51729.87 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N173.74bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +1.56%
The total volume traded declined by 24.90% to close at 211.74m, valued at N7.73bn and traded in 3,679 deals. MANSARD was the most traded stock by volume with 26.25m units traded while AIRTELAFRICA was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N4.14bn
Sectoral performance was broadly positive as fifteen (15) NGX sector index closed northward, one (1) sector index closed southward and two (2) closed flat. The NGX NGXMERIVAL index advanced by 2.20% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX GROWTH index declined by 106% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index advanced by 0.28% to close at 136.66 basis points while the Toni index advanced by 0.63% to close at 121.45 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 35 gainers to 9 losers and 53 unchanged. ELLAHLAKES topped the list of gainers while ABBEYBDS topped the list of losers.
