Nigerian Equities Market closed positive as the key market indicator advanced by 283.27 bps amid positive market breadth
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.55% to close at 51729.87 basis points as against a -0.48% loss recorded previously to close at 51446.6 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N154.29bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +0.93%
The total volume traded declined by 18.39% to close at 281.94m, valued at N8.16bn and traded in 3,679 deals. FBNH was the most traded stock by volume with 108.92m units traded while BUA was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N4.07bn
Sectoral performance was broadly positive as twelve (12) NGX sector index closed northward, three (3) closed southward and three (3) closed flat. The NGX AFRHDYI index advanced by 1.50% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX PENSION index declined by 1.18% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index closed flat at 136.66 basis points while the Toni index advanced by 0.60% to close at 121.45 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 26 gainers to 11 losers and 60 unchanged. THOMASWY topped the list of gainers while ROYALEX topped the list of losers.
Thus, market breadth closed positive as the Market Breadth Index (MBI) is put at 0.25x.
