Baring any change in the tripartitemeeting between the Nigerian Labour Congress, Organized Private Sector and theFederal Government today, Nigeria could be witnessing another round of anationwide strike that will impact the economy.
The issue is the minimum wage which hasbeen overdue for review, based on the act establishing it and has been thesource of contention between labour and the government.
While the NLC is proposing a minimumwage of N30,000.00, the State Governors on the other hand have stated that theywill pay N22,500.00 .
The last time the minimum wage wasreviewed was in the year 2011.
As the nation eagerly awaits theoutcome of the meeting, we take a look at the history of strikes in the nation;
