Noor Takaful a leading operator in the Nigerian non-interest insurance market, hosted stakeholders to its 2021 surplus distribution event

It was an opportunity to once again make cash out payment to the tune of N36m to its customers who did not make any claim for the insurance policy period of 2019, that expired in December, 2020.

According to the Chairman of the Board, Mr Muhtar Bakare Noor Takaful is the only operator in the "Takaful" segment that has been consistently paying surplus to its participants since 2019. He also stated that the company has paid claims worth over N1bn since its inception in 2017.

The event had the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Khalifa Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the special guest of honor and was well attended by representatives of regulatory bodies and institutions in the insurance industry like the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM, Nigeria Insurers Association, NIA, and the  Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, NCRIB.
