FairMoney Plans Savings Products, Agency Banking in 2022

FairMoney, the Digital bank driving financial inclusion for the Nigerianmass market, plans to roll out savings products and deepen agency bankingactivities in 2022.

 

This was part of the critical issues highlighted at a recent briefing toassess activities in 2021 and set the agenda/ focus for the year 2022.

 

Accordingto Laurin Hainy, Co-Founder/CEO, FairMoney, "FairMoney will continue to supportour customers across their various financial service needs even as we work tomaintain our current position as the leading digital bank in Nigeria. Ourmission has always been to serve the needs of as many Nigerians as possible.Our approach to doing this involves providing millions of Nigerians with loansand capital to meet their immediate needs and, in some cases, to grow theirbusinesses. So far, we have disbursed over N117billion loans since inception,"he said.

 

"Ourgoal ultimately is to use technology to bank the 60 million Nigerians currentlyexcluded from the financial ecosystem. We have also introduced secure andinnovative technology processes to improve our lending operations, as well as astrong privacy protection and comprehensive loan collection policy deployed inthe last four years," Laurin added.

 

Themanagement expressed further that the brand is a customer service-drivencompany that offers bespoke services that appeal to its clients and noting theneed to do much more in the year to come. The bespoke brand also highlightedmoves to introduce new products such as savings products, agency banking, andmore interesting features that would give customers and clients furthersatisfaction.

 

Also,speaking at the briefing, Nengi Akinola - Head Marketing & Brandingreiterated FairMoney's commitment to supporting Nigerians. She said, "To us atFairMoney; the goal is to see a world where everyone has equal financialopportunities and support to reach their financial goals, however great or wideit may be. We will continue to build on our offerings so that we can continueto meet the growing needs of the average Nigeria customers".

 

NengiAkinola also added that in 2022 FairMoney plans to add exciting features to itsapp that will make digital transactions engaging and exciting for customers.

 

FairMoneyalso announced its plans to integrate a market campaign in January 2022, whichwill officially introduce Fairmoney as a Microfinance Bank, with a theme "FairBanking for All", tailored towards inclusion.
