Average price paidby consumers for premium motor spirit (petrol) increased by 10.67% year-on-yearand month-on-month by 8.26% to N161.06 in September2020 from N148.78 in August 2020.


States withthe highest average price of premium motor spirit (petrol) were Yobe (N168.83),Taraba (N166.43) and Cross River (N165.88).


States withthe lowest average price of premium motor spirit (petrol) were Katsina(N156.40), Niger(N156.56) andZamfara (N157.90).

Average price paid by consumers for Automotive Gas Oil(diesel) decreased by -0.99% month-on-month and by -3.62% year-on-year toN219.68 in September 2020 from to N221.88 in August 2020.

 

States with the highest average price of diesel wereBorno (N256.88), Niger (N247.78) and Adamawa (N243.31).

 

States with the lowest average price of diesel wereKwara (N191.00), Enugu (N197.00) and Ogun (N200.40).

Averageprice per litre paid by consumers for National Household Kerosene increased by0.42% month-on-month and by 9.27% year-on-year to N347.98 in September 2020from N346.53 in August 2020.

 

Stateswith the highest average price per litre of kerosene were Taraba (N421.43,Ebonyi (N406.67) and Benue (N402.78).

 

Stateswith the lowest average price per litre of kerosene were Bayelsa (N256.67),Kebbi (N272.22) and Rivers (N280.83).

 

Similarly,average price per gallon paid by consumers for National Household Keroseneincreased by 0.92% month-on-month and by 1.02% year-on-year to N1,229.66 inSeptember 2020 from N1,218.48 in August 2020.

 

Stateswith the highest average price per gallon of kerosene were Ekiti (N1,380.00),Kebbi (N1,369.23) and Katsina (N1,368.75).

 

Stateswith the lowest average price per gallon of kerosene were Osun (N1,035.67),Delta (N1,051.36) and Rivers (N1,097.78).

Average price forthe refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) decreasedby -0.23% month-on-monthand by -0.07% year-on-year to N1974.67 in September 2020 from N1979.15in August 2020.


States withthe highest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for LiquefiedPetroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Bauchi (N2,487.37), Borno (N2,391.96) andAdamawa (N2,368.41).


States withthe lowest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for LiquefiedPetroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Imo (N1,644.44), Ebonyi (N1,693.86) and Enugu(N1,705.45).

 

Similarly, averageprice for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas(Cooking Gas) decreased by -0.63%month-on-month and by -0.32% year-on-year to N4,110.92 in September 2020 fromN4,136.80 in August 2020.


States withthe highest average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for LiquefiedPetroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Akwa Ibom (N4,554.44), Bayelsa (N4,535.00)and Cross River (N4,470.56).


States withthe lowest average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for LiquefiedPetroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Kano (N3,654.00), Oyo (N3,758.93) and Imo(N3,768.75).
