And – it’s a wrap! It felt like we blinked, 10 minutes later yet 10 years long, we reached the end of 2022. For us at AFEX, the last 12 months have been momentous capped by expansion announcements, project milestones and completions as well as strategic deals and partnerships that tie to our North Star of shaping Africa’s commodities market and making it more inclusive and sustainable.

We took daring decisions this year that brought us exponential growth. We built critical infrastructure to bolster Africa’s food system and improved our platforms, making it even easier to trade across the continent, while chronicling the impact of AgriTech on the African food narrative. 

As we draw the curtain on an eventful 2022, let’s take a look back at some of the historic moments that defined our year.

Together we reached Africa, expanding our global footprint 

In 2022, we announced our African vision to strategically expand our reach to serve more African farmers and key players, starting with Kenya, where we launched a one million dollars input loan program that allowed over 5000 Kenyan farmers to scale their operations and bolster food security on the continent. It was important to replicate our success in Nigeria to other countries in providing access to logistics delivery, advisory services, inputs, and access to the market in the value chain while improving Africa’s food security
